Ron Fletcher

Ron Fletcher (May 29, 1921 – December 6, 2011) was an American Pilates Teacher, an author, a choreographer, and a Martha Graham dancer. He was a first generation teacher who studied directly under Joseph and Clara Pilates.
During the 1940s, Ron Fletcher was a dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company when a knee injury led him to Joseph Pilates’ studio in New York. He became a student and protégé of Joseph and Clara Pilates for 20 years. With Clara’s blessing, Ron Fletcher continued to teach the Pilates method and has evolved the work while staying true to the original intention of Pilates.
